My German Heart, 2009

My German Heart (2009) is a symbol of an identity conflict. A healthy potato is sprayed with red paint and therefore surrounded by an air impermeable barrier leading to a fermentation process inside the potato. A puncturing interrupted the fermentation process of the ever-expanding potato, thereby draining the marrow of the fermented suspended potato.
