Coral Sponges, 2018

Inspired by the fascinating biotope of corals, Coral Sponges (2018) are casted out of a mushroom coral, seated in their bath sponge and engined by a motor. They seem to enjoy themselves the most in dark rooms with black lights as those mushroom corals only feed themselves at night when their tentacles transform themselves in plankton hunting cress islands. Some species of mushroom coral are able to change sex. This happens in response to environmental or energetic constraints, and to improve the organism's evolutionary fitness.
