Into The Wild, 2017-Present
The artist Anne Duk Hee Jordan is known for her edible landscape tables INTO THE WILD in which she presents an edible table of herbs, edible fragrance flowers, and ancient plant knowledge. Every itineration of INTO THE WILD is a locally designed and researched project, embedded in the native food culture. The protagonists of this social food experience are herbs and vegetables, which Jordan transforms into an edible sculpture and accompanying dishes served at the table. It opens a dialogue alongside the dining table, in a sensual way, taking interventions of different forms that work as a social sculpture. The participants are invited to join the wild dining sculpture and eat with their hands; there are no plates, no forks and no knives. The table is completely consumable. All the food leftovers are turned into compost and consequently into soil which makes a full ecological circle.
